MICHELIN XHA3: a new-generation tire for construction equipmen

Loco News Bureau :  In an industry where machines are becoming more powerful, cycles are faster, and uptime is critical, Michelin introduces the new MICHELIN XHA3. Building on the proven success of the MICHELIN XHA2, Michelin launches a new-generation tire designed to meet increasing  productivity demands and support the evolving capabilities of modern construction equipment. Combining polyvalence, productivity and innovation, the MICHELIN XHA3 introduces a new integrated sidewall feature: Michelin Visual Pressure Control, a patent-pending visual indicator designed to enhance daily tire management.

A versatile solution to meet the growing demands of construction machinery
Combining robustness and versatility, the MICHELIN XHA3 has been developed for a wide range of construction applications. Suitable for loaders, articulated dump trucks (ADTs) and graders, this new tire offers a multi-machine design covering E3, L3 and G3 applications.

Designed to perform across varied terrains—from mud to asphalt, including aggressive environments—the MICHELIN XHA3 is engineered to support fast and intensive operating cycles. This versatility helps simplify fleet management and reduce inventory complexity by limiting the number of tire references required.

The MICHELIN XHA3 aims to deliver outstanding productivity performance for loaders and ADTs while supporting operational flexibility across construction sites.

Its innovative design and structure provide up to 20% greater wear life* compared with the previous generation, while also enhancing stability, operator comfort and vibration reduction. The versatile casing architecture furthermore supports a high retreadability rate.

Michelin Visual Pressure Control: a patent-pending innovation

The MICHELIN XHA3 is the first tire equipped with Michelin Visual Pressure Control. Developed around customers' operational realities, this innovative visual feature supports routine equipment inspections, where tire pressure verification remains essential to ensuring safe, productive and compliant operations.

Michelin Visual Pressure Control provides an intuitive visual indication of tire inflation status without requiring electronic devices, sensors or external systems. A simple visual inspection allows operators to quickly identify whether tire pressure may require adjustment.

By facilitating tire pressure management in the field, Michelin Visual Pressure Control contributes to improved operational safety, streamlined workflows and optimized tire usage throughout the working day.

Enhanced performance serving productivity and operating costs
Building on the trusted legacy of the MICHELIN XHA2, the MICHELIN XHA3 incorporates several innovations derived from Michelin's expertise in construction tire technology.

Its new tread design, featuring increased rubber volume, has been engineered to significantly reduce tire-related maintenance costs while extending service life.

A reinforced bead area allows the tire to accommodate high-torque machines and delivers up to 20%** additional load capacity depending on tire size. The new four-block tread pattern and optimized progressive shoulder radius contribute to enhanced traction across multiple vehicle types and applications.

These performance enhancements help support high-productivity machine cycles, reduce unplanned downtime and improve operational continuity on construction sites. Overall, Michelin estimates that the MICHELIN XHA3 can deliver approximately 16% lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) compared with its predecessor.

As a result, the MICHELIN XHA3 stands out as a durable, reliable and high-performing solution for construction professionals seeking greater productivity, versatility and long-term value.  Read the original news...........
